Sold on tungsten

At least for carolina rigging.  Every little rock is felt.  Plus with a C-rig I'm less likely to lose the $2 sinker.   :o

If only could find a reliable local source.   :'(

I want to try W weights for T-rigging and drop-shotting, just have to build up the guts to spend that much on something I know I'm going to lose sooner or later.

Everytime I go to Cabelas I stop in the bargain cave and there always seems to be several packages of tru-tungsten weights on sale for about half price.  I have loaded up on them, buying 1-2 packs anytime I stop(that way I don't feel like I've spent as much on them.)  I would look around your local tackle store in the bargain/clearance area for them.

None of the local places stock tungsten. :-/

I know I wont go back to lead worm weights.  Tungsten rocks.  1k times better then lead.

I fish around grass and I feel every little thing with these. I'm sold also especially the tru-tungsten weed wacker jig.

tungsten is a must for me when c-riggin.  that super hard material lets you feel everything.  when fishing a texas rig or dropshot i dont insist on it, unless im using a 3/8th or larger and then i think that the smaller size is definitely nice.
