Any good vacation rentals with bass fishing ponds, lakes, rivers on property near Orlando?

Featured Replies

I am looking to take some time off and fish with my family.  Are there any good vacation rentals with access to a decent fishing site such as a pond or lake with good bass fishing?  I would travel up to 3 hours from the Orlando, Fl area.  Please let me know if you have stayed at any.  Thank you!

Can't help you with Florida, but could offer
suggestions for Virginia! :)

Welcome to the forums!

You can check the Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa.  It's located off of Big Sand lake, which imo is one the best lakes in Orlando to fish.  I know they rent kayaks, but I'm not sure about other boats.

also check with airbnb sites or similar. I live on the space coast and there are tons of places to stay. also close to the stick marsh.

I stayed at Bahama Bay in Davenport this spring when I was in Fl. It's a few minutes south west of Orlando and has 2 ponds and a big lake on the property. There are tons of vacation rentals in the Orlando area with ponds close by or right out the window. If you get the chance fish Lake Toho, let me know if you need more info on guides etc.

I just came back from Orlando. If you are willing to travel up to a half hour, you will never run out of places to fish for bass.  Toho is awesome as well and worth the money for a guide. We are going to Melbourne in October and I am spending all of my time trying to figure out the logistics to make sure I get back to Orlando for a day or two.

Onvacation let me know when you get here,I live in melbourne. can give some spots locals like.

Crypt, will do. We will be flying this time so I will be light on the gear so I may hit you up as it gets closer to make sure I have the must have items with me.

Hey heading down that way in the beginning of October will be staying in palm coast but am traveling to Orlando multiple days. Have any recommendations on urban ponds and possibly some guides out there too?

I went out with Steve Boyd, www.floridabassadventures.com, on Toho and I am planning return trips now to fish with him. Good guy, tell him I said hi.   Turkey Lake boat rental was awesome as was just about any lake in Orlando. There is a lot of water to fish and October will be much better than my late July trip.
