  1. Thanks! I'm going to claim it.
  2. A co-worker was offering up a bunch of old un-opened seguar fluorocarbon line. It's been sitting around for about 12 years indoors. Is this ok to use? Is it more prone to break? Or would it be just like new?
  3. When I had access to a popular lake, there were five of us who would go out picking up trash after the major summer holidays. Once one of the residents saw how much trash was picked up after Labor day, she organized a lake cleanup monthly with other residents. They also should bring back the crying Indian commercial campaign!
  4. If you don't mind fishing on Wednesday's. PM me
  5. The golf course seems to be out of business, I would think about parking near the golf course entrance.
  6. Google map Marriott's Cypress Harbor Villas just south of the convention center. I've been told it is good, but have not fished there yet. I would try entering on the south side, then walk to the lakes.
  7. get hooked bait and tackle, Story rd Ocoee, FL
  8. On SR50 west of the turnpike on the way to clermont there is a boat dealership with a bait shop attached. I would ASSUME they have shiners, but never gone into the place.
  9. I moved from that area 25 years ago, but Kings Point and the canals feeding into it were excellent places to fish just south of C-14 (west end). I'm not sure how built up that area is now though.
  10. I have always done better with buzz style frogs, like the Ribbit and Ragetail. My new favorite is the Top Toad.
  11. You can check the Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa. It's located off of Big Sand lake, which imo is one the best lakes in Orlando to fish. I know they rent kayaks, but I'm not sure about other boats.
  12. Glad to see you had a good time, and coming back when it cools down a little. It's been brutal so far this summer because of the dry air keeping rain chances down. Did the Turkey Lake park have a topo map of the lake? Also, where on the lake did you fish?
  13. I believe Ivanhoe, Underhill and Turkey lake are part of Orlando's fab five lakes.
  14. That 10lber doesn't surprise me, Turkey Lake gets very little fishing pressure. I got my PB on lake Hiawassee just north of Turkey Lake. Post some pics of the boats and any catches. Good Luck!
  15. From where you are staying, fishing Underhill and Baldwin would probably be the easiest. Both are relatively close to each other, and both can be fished along the southern parts of the lake. On Baldwin you may have to fish around some brush on the bank. As far as lures go, try fogs in the evening, anything else make sure its texas rigged. If I were you I would try the boat rental at Turkey lake, I've heard of some big fish out of there.
