What size Calcutta would be best for fishing for trout and redfish? What rod would pair with it best for inshore?

    I'd recommend the Shimano Calcutta CT400B Series Casting Reel.

    Mounted on the Shimano Southeast Teramar Inshore TMCM70MH Casting Rod.

    i say Calcutta D 200 is enough.. for Rod its up to you. 

     

    but i recommend the Curado 300. all around freaking reel

    I use my Calcutta 100s for specks & red!

    As for rods, any 7' medium action fast

    If your soaking bait on the bottom the Calcutta 400 with the Teramar MH would be great for anything that may bite, but for throwing artificial baits I like the old 200B on a medium fast HMG. I use 30-40# braid with a 12-14# mono leader.
