What size twist-lock hook for a Zoom Super Fluke

I like using twist-lock style hooks for Super Flukes because they seem to last longer that way.

What size twist-lock hook should I use for Zoom Super Flukes?

4/0-5/0 should be good. and your right they do last longer that way. best hook to use for fluke style baits. imo.

I use a 3/0 with the 5" ones. Yup, best type of hook for a fluke that I've found.

I was looking at the light wire Owner Twist Locks hooks to try with the super fluke. Do I want the light wire or the "regular" one?

Light wire - close to the surface. Regular wire - subsurface.

What is the thought process there? Is it that the weight of the hook would affect the running depth?

If you’re trying to run it just below the surface, a lighter hook will almost help it to pop up. When I use a weightless fluke, I use a Gamakatsu superline with a screwlock added on. So yeah it’ll make a difference on the depth for sure.

I've got regular Gammy EWG 4/0 and some 4/0 Owner beast hooks so I guess those 2 options would have me covered for the most part.

FYI use the largest screw lock you can if ya gotta swap them out.

This will hold the nose of the Fluke tighter & minimize tearing.
