I hit up my friends farm pond on Monday. I was there for all of 10 minutes and I got this 1 bite. It was the only one for the day, but worth it!  Not sure why I thought that particular clump looked like a good target, but you can see I look at it and bring my bait back in quickly so I can pitch to it. Size 10 for reference in the picture. #5.5

    That clump I pitched to is in about 1' of water. I wasn't expecting that bite.

    I'm also surprised by that.  With the hot weather, a foot of hot water doesn't sound like a likely place for that bass to hang out.  Congrats to you.
