mudcatwilly
I am planning on buying a canoe so I can do some fishing on some small lakes that don't allow gas motors. Does anyone have any recommedations on what canoe to buy for solo fishing?

Travlin_Man
You might want to look at a Gheenoe. Like a canoe, only almost untipable . I have fished out of one for over 25 yrs. with a trolling motor for power.
camofish
I have a 17' alum. grumman and use a trolling motor, but I normally have 1 or 2 in the canoe. I would get a shorter one, like 12'-15' for one fisherman. If your on a lake or pond it would be better to have on that has a nice kill down the underside. paparock
I have an Old Town Predator 160 and it works great. Here is a link. http://www.oldtowncanoe.com/canoes_sporting.php#predatorC160
