Banded doves

Featured Replies

Took Friday off of work to shoot some doves and catch some crappie in the afternoon.

My dad shot a banded dove and I shot one the very next bird.  I'm 31 and my dad is 62 and no telling how many doves we've shot or bands we've missed simply by not noticing them since they are so small.  Pretty crazy and this was definitely a rare occasion.

Nice work, I've never gotten a banded one and have only known a few that have in my lifetime.

Never heard of a banded dove.

Yup. Dove, duck and geese get migratory bands. A lot of local states do turkey, quail and pheasant also.
