This fish finder came factory installed on my 2007 Triton VT 17 Tournament Sport Aluminum bass boat. The only thing I really get out of it is the water temperature and battery power. Can someone who may be familiar with this particular model help me make it beneficial. I plan on upgrading to a better set of electronics in the spring but as far as being able to use this thing to assist with fishing, I don't really get anything out of it.

Sounds like the transducer is bad.

I may have mis-stated what I meant. Everything works on the finder like it is supposed to, I just don't know how to use it to benefit from it. The only thing I know how to interpret on it is the water temp, depth, and battery power level. I don't know how to recognize structure or anything else to help me catch more fish.

There are dozens of videos on YouTube showing you how to interpret what you see on a depth finder. Search there.

i agree with Scott, and dont go buying any expensive gear until you learn the basics on your x4 pro. good luck man

Thanks. I just feel overwhelmed with it. I need to just take a day and run the boat and stay directly with the screen locating structure and learning how to interpret it. I know that everything on screen moves from left to right. Is that displaying what's under the boat from the front to the back if my transducer is mounted on my transom?

No, just the opposite. Stuff is recorded on the right side and then moves left as history. Current data is the first vertical row of screen pixels on the right side.

It displays what is directly under the transducer in a somewhat inverted cone shaped pulse.
