I was lucky enough to go to the Tour Championship final round yesterday at East Lake.  My wife and I went and met up with a couple of friends that were out there as well.  It was a great day for golf and couldn't have asked for a better round!  We were able to watch all the drama unfold and to see Rory take it all in a 4 hole playoff!  It was cool to see all the big dogs too:  DJ, Rory, Bubba, Spieth, Dufner, Kuchar and Reed.  It was my first time catching the final tournament of the season, but i believe i'll make this a regular thing.  My wife even had a great time and she couldn't care less about golf!

I watched on tv and it was filled with drama from beginning to end. Rory stole 10 million from DJ at the very end.

it was awesome to watch it all unfold!   my wife and i were right on the side of the green on the last playoff hole and got to witness that drama firsthand.  it was as rowdy as any golf i've ever seen too, the place went nuts over both of those final 2 putts from Ryan Moore and Rory.

stole maybe, earned definitely!!!

I think it was more like Dustin opened the door for Rory, and Rory strode right through it.  It was not without the drama though.

I should have disclosed I'm a fan of Rory. The irony of the whole thing was DJ was in the money with any other outcome but Rory's win.

Had DJ managed to finish alone in second place he would have won.  But he reverted to the DJ of prior years when he was in command of a tournament only to collapse during the last round.  See the US Open from last year when he three putted on the final hole of the tournament to give the win to Spieth.

He worked hard on his short game and his putting only to have his driver go into a coma during the final round.  Actually, his troubles started in the third round.

What's up with Jason Day and his back.  He had been the dominant force in golf until DJ got hot this year.  Now Rory's back on top.  Backs are tricky things.  Will Jason ever be able to compete at the same level over a year again?

i agree that DJ blew it.  Shot the highest recorded round of the field on Sunday, you can't do that against the best of the best!  Even Kevin Na beat that and the dude sprinted around the course playing 18 holes in under 2 hours!!

i really like Jason Day and hope to see him back on top soon enough.  The guy is a phenomenal golfer and seems like a very nice guy.

I've got to figure out who my man of the future is because I've always been an Ernie Els fan and will be for a long time, but he's not competitive in this league anymore with all the talent that's out there now!
