Jig Skipping Rod

Featured Replies

I like to skip 3/8 oz jigs under docks and around laydowns.

Anyone have a suggestion for a stout baitcasting rod that's 6'8", 6'9" or 6'10" ?

My 6'9" Veritas isn't strong enough when I hook a good one way up under docks with pilings for support.  I get lots of bites and some really big ones but Im struggling getting them out to open water.

Is the tip soft enough to load up with a 3/8 oz jig?

St. Croix Mojo or LTB 6'8" MH/F Worm n Jig Rod. They have a nice soft tip so you can skip and they have plenty of backbone.
