Who's flingin big dingers?

Featured Replies

I re-discovered a selection of 7" dingers in my collection yesterday.  I've never thrown those before.  I know they are discontinued but I still have a small stockpile.

My questions are:

Under what conditions do you throw large stickbaits? (obviously, doesn't have to be dingers)

How do you like to rig them?

FWIW I mostly fish ponds and small lakes for largemouth - interested in all scenarios, but those are the conditions I'm most interested in.

1/4oz swing head with a 7/0 monster worm hook when I'm dragging and looking for a big bite. It doesn't take a very heavy head to keep them down because they already weigh so much.

Weightless t rigged. 5/0, 6/0.

Weightless t rigged in the deepest holes and fished super slow. I usually use these most in winter

One of my night fishing baits is a wacky rigged 7" senko.

10" senko (custom pour) are great in muddy, weedy shallow water.  Moves a ton of water without being obnoxious.  Weigh 1.5oz each.

And your favorite way to rig these ??
