first time in Arkansas

Featured Replies

Hi all! I'm going to be down in northern Arkansas for work for a few days in early November, and I am going to make sure I carve out some time to fish, probably on Norfork and/or Bull Shoals. I have never fished bass outside of Minnesota before, and I would be very grateful for some general guidance on what lures to pack, what areas of the lakes to start looking at, etc. I don't need GPS coordinates of course, figuring out the pattern is half the fun! But those are some good sized lakes and since I have limited time, some tips on what to look for would be awesome. I will be sure to post pics after the trip!

Can't help you with Arkansas, but seeing it's your
first post, welcome aboard!

Welcome to bass resource. Almost everything you've ever wondered about fishing has been discussed. Unless its unorthodox or new. Try using the search bar for your questions. I took the time to do it for you. Good luck.

Thanks. I'm not terribly tech savvy, so I appreciate the help. I will poke around and see what I can find, though I'm not sure old posts will help me know what current water temps are like :)

The more you contribute to the forums, the more likely you are to receive a very nice PM in a situation like this!

Give us a good report after your trip!

Assuming we find fish, there will definitely be pics and a detailed report in the works! Heck, even if we don't find fish I will report on that too :)
