Why did Bogo Grips fall out of favor?

Featured Replies

I thought for a long time that the Bogo Grip (with scale) was very popular. Now I see that a lot of places don't sell them, such as TW. I thought that the Boga Grip was used for a lot of  IGFA World Records.

What happened to their popularity?

Cool.

Are they actual different sizes or just weight different maximums? Like, does the one that goes up to 60lbs. have a much larger hand grip than the 15lbs. one?

The difference is that the 15# measures in 1/4# increments

The higher models in 1/2# increments

I love mine, have the 15# model.

I use it on just about every treble bait hooked fish I catch.

They are the most popular spring scale made for IGFA certification of records. You have to send it to IGFA for certification which is good for a year. They make a 15lb, 30lb & 60lb. Each scale is bigger in size as you move up in weight.

I use my BOGO all the time but I can see people preferring a digital scale for their fish, especially for bass when 1/4 pound increments might be too large of a margin.
