what baits do you find it works best for?

Not many reviews, but every one I read gave the reel high marks.  I hate passing up such a deal, but I think I need to sell a few reels before buying another.  Thanks for posting.  I'm sure a few will take advantage of an opportunity like this.

i saw bass pro had them at about 50% off, d**n near bought one.

good reel, not sure it's worth the price tag, but for the discounted price bps was running. good deal. I had one and sold it because I was given an offer I couldn't refuse. I ended up buying two this morning at the sale. Probably sell one for a decent profit and keep one. When I had one, I didn't notice it outperformed a lot of my other reels that were a bit cheaper. My Gen 2 Premier is a better reel IMHO. The one thing it did better than any other reel I owned was throw light baits better. I could flip a tube with a 1/16oz weight no problem. Some of my other reels tend to struggle sometime throwing that small of a bait, except my ***. It is very very very light and fits into my palm perfectly. I have small hands so the Revo line just fits me better than a Curado for instance. For the price, you will not be dissapointed and will not regret the purchase. I would never pay full price for one ever again though. Full price, it gets in Metanium territory and it is nowhere near the reel of a Metanium. good luck and have fun with it.

Not that I need another reel, I let the Tackle Money coerce me into buying a 7.9:1 today. Can't say I'll get to use it until next season, but It'll be in the garage waiting for me.

This reel is really good for light baits: weightless baits, shakey heads, and light t-rigs. It still is good for heavier baits, but it doesn't cast them nearly as far as an STX with all brakes off.

Out of all my reels that I own, my mgx is my absolute favorite. I love everything about it, casting, drag, feel, weight, just everything. I have fished it hard that past couple years and still looks new, still feels and functions as new. I can cast anything on it, weightless to some beefy plugs. You will understand once you start getting use out of them.

have one, love it. great for lighter worms, senkos. also tried flipping with it. works great.
