gettin' a Johnson 7.5hp outboard fixed.

Featured Replies

I've had this 7.5hp Johnson outboard motor in the garage for a few years now that a friend brought over... He doesnt want it anymore so i got it for free... took it into the shop to get fixed today, the guy said should cost 200-250 to repair it.  Its a 1969, is it worth it? thanks for any responses

I would say it is worth it.  Have you looked at the cost of a new motor lately?  Even a used one from Ebay in the 9.9 range is running $250-$500 and you don't know exactly what you are going to get.

are you planning on using it or selling it    either way sounds like a deal
