I guess the newer generation of Revo's, I just can't get used to or understand. I tried out a Revo S a year or so ago. I had the older Revo S in gray paint job and the gear not quite as noticeable when holding the reel. The white Revo S I bought, I could not get used to it. The gear just stuck out way too much that it actually was uncomfortable to palm. And why does Abu Garcia install short handles on their casting reels? Current reels from other mfg's have longer handles. If you want a longer handle, you have to buy it as an option for either $30 or $50.

I so want to like Abu reels, I just can't seem to. I like the older models prior to going with the huge gear.

Revos are too long from front to back for me. I had a white Revo S and just couldn't find a way to hold it that was comfortable.
