Browning ultralite baitcasting reel--any good?

Featured Replies

Bass Pro has a sale on their Browning ultralite baitcast reel, model SL10HA for about $70.00.  It's a 9+1 bearing reel.  Does anyone have experience with this reel?

I see them for 60$ 10 bearings, aluminum frame and 5.2oz to boot.I've never used it but I've spent 60 bucks on dumber stuff.I'd say its worth a shot. Can you get to BPS to play with it?

I'd have to order it from them. I've got three Lews Tournament Pros that are my favorites. The Browning wouldn't be as good, but it's less than half the cost! I've also got a 'gold' BassPro Carbonlite that's an excellent reel--it's the best value of all my reels.
