Is 24 IPT too slow?

Featured Replies

Would 24 ipt be too slow for lipless cranks, jerkbaits, jigs and worms?

No, would not be optimal for a lot of people but no reason not to use it if that is what you have.

Sounds pretty close to a near 6:1 ratio reel (baitcast) which is pretty universal to a wide variety of techniques. You should be fine.

I use a bunch of Daiwa reels that are 6.3 to one which works out to be 25.7 ipt. Not much difference so use it.

If it's a reel you already have , it will get the job done. I would look for something faster in the future though. If it's a reel you plan to purchase,I think you would appreciate a father reel.

will be fine,
