Shimano Curado Reel Handle

Featured Replies

New to the forum, and did a few searches (varied keywords) and could not find a good answer. As I'm in the process of switching from LH to RH, due to wrist injury making rod action difficult, I have procured a Lew's with the 93(?)mm handle width, as well as a Shimano Curado 200. I love the distance between the knobs on the Lew's, asked almost tried a BPS replacement handle - it was a bit longer when we compared in store.........but weren't sure it would fit, plus it's just a straight aluminum blah piece. I am searching, and have prevailed in finding some suppliers on eBay that had the width and the swept back handles.......... ANY advice would be much appreciated.

Great info and members on here. Glad I joined!

Go to Tackle Trap and order a 96mm Metanium handle.  Don't forget to order the plastic nut retainer, too.  I'm assuming you're referring to the Curado 200 I.  If it's an older Curado, you'll need to get a straight handle. Everything stock Shimano is 84mm(I think) or less. Go to fishshopshimano.com.  Other than that there are several aftermarket options that can be pricey.

As an aside, as the vast majority of these eBay handles come from China, are they worth even inquiring about? Ergo, should I really expect to pay around $100 for one from our great nation?
