Pre- Spawn

Featured Replies

Going to Toledo Bend for the next 4 days.  I love to fish for the pre-spawn bass.

I like fishing traps and crank baits.

What kind of structure, cover and depth in the mid lake area should I concentrate on to

target the pre-spawn fish. I realize the fish are doing a lot different of things and do not

do their thing all at the same time. Will be staying in Lannan area. Thinking about fishing

Carrice Creek and San Miguel. Your input would greatly be appreciated.

I probably wouldn't leave Lannan ;)

You can get reports under the Toledo Bend thread

I have been catching a few the last two days on square billed bandit cranks color pearl and black back on points that have sand bottoms and lots of wood in the two to five foot depth with grass at the bottom of point in the seven to ten foot depth.

I live on San Miguel, good luck the next few days, if you end up on San Miguel and see a blue pro crappie in a cove with a fat guy in it that's me feel free to say hello.

A5, that's a cool reply right there.

That's awesome. One the reasons I love this place!
