All I use is BPS 4" magnum flippin tubes.  And I recently started rigging them stupid style with 1/4oz wide gap shakey head hooks without the screwlocs and they work great!

Stupid style. Lol. That's a new one. I do that with my wacky rigs sometimes. With 1/20 oz Mushroom head hooks.

A tubes a tube basically. Long as it's fat. I hate the skinny ones

I like venom, cabin creek, and ISG tubes.  BPS aren't bad.

Anyone still using tubes in summer? Seems to work still but small fish hiting it.

I use 4" mostly BPS tournament series. Natural colors (I only use these in clear water) 1/8 oz tube jig head, light line and a medium power spinning rod. Either snapping them off the bottom or dragging them.

Agree. Only Clear water for tubes. I used to use 6-8 lb mono for most Plastics but started using braid to 15 lb flouro this year even in the clearest water and haven't noticed any problems. Just more abrasion resistance and works for an type of lure almost. Caught my new PB on this setup last week.

Also, anyone tried these massive 6-8 in tubes? Just curious. Seems overkill.

On the retrieve?  Nah, not really.  It does a nice spiral when it falls though.
