Fivebasslimit is the guy to ask about Gamblers.

Gamblers are a good boat but as you think about your purchase ask your insurance company if they will cover it as some companies will not due to the hull composite.

WHY????

WHY NOT ??? Please tell me.

Gamblers are great boats in my opinion.I like everything about mine.Best features are that they have no wood (that will rot) and are very well built. They handle like you are on a rail around corners and do great in big waves.

Gamblers are not mass produced like other big name boat companies,so there are no details "over-looked".They also hold their value pretty good in case you sell it down the road.

.......and I had no problems getting insurance.

Most boat ins. companies I've ever dealt with will cover a boat like a Gambler, Allison, Bullit or a Blazer. Will the premium be higher, of course just like the premium will be higher if you're insuring a Mustang GT vs a Ford Taurus.

I hope that I did not offend anyone. I like Gambler boats IMO they have it all. I was just informing another about the fact that they may have hidden cost involved.

Also Anglers  Advantage Insurance Sponsors American Bass Anglers and gives 100 for big fish if you use them.

Anyway my point was insurance cost may be somthing most do not think about and should be considered when buying a Boat.

I just recently bought a used Bumble Bee (also not mass produced) and insured it through Progressive.  I had to fill out a questionairre/declaration form where one of the questions asked if the boat was capable of speeds in excess of 74 mph.  There may be a threshold between premiums for bass boats and "high performance" boats.

They make the Gamblers about 6 miles from my house . Maybe one of these days I will go there and ' look around '

I once owned a 18' Gambler, on smooyh water it was one of the most fun boats to drive and fish out of,BUT i fish the Potomac alot and when the water got rough that boat would beat you to death. I still think they are the best looking boat on the water. Anyway thats WHY!!
