  1. We vote on every lake we fish ( classic or not ) Majority rules. We have a meeting every month except December and every member can nominate a lake to begin with. Then we get 2 votes on the lakes nominated. The top 3 lakes are then carried over for another vote, in which you only get one vote then. The one with the most votes is the lake we will fish.
  2. They make the Gamblers about 6 miles from my house . Maybe one of these days I will go there and ' look around '
  3. Im right handed and will lip with my right hand. Then transfer it to my left automaticaly to remove the hook . For the original poster, I reckon you could always use something like ' boga grips '.
  4. Junebug watermellon /red flake
  5. The main thing, is to have fun . Dont go adding pressure on yourself to produce fish and be consumed with that thought. It takes time and water time to get better. So you got to put the effort in it, but dont go out with the mentality that your gonna kick some butt.. A lil story to be served as a reminder A guy that was in our club wanted to start bass fishing, so he went out with a ' friend ' who happened to be a pretty good angler. ( before he joined the club etc.. ) After just observing the Angler catching a few fish, and not fishing himself ( just went to observe ). He went to BPS and boght about $ 800 worth of rods & reels. and the lures the angler was useing. After about 5 tournaments and not getting anything He quit the club , and I guess fishing also.. I guess, he thought it was a cake walk and never put in the ' water time ' to try to become better ' .
  6. LBH... 50 for $ 10 , and they work !!! Cant beat that deal anywhere ( That I know of )
  7. I will admit that I am a SENKO-HOLIC. ;D ( *** ) I always have one rigged on a pole ( But I can leave it alone if need be. ) Case in point, Our last club tournament, I KNEW what the bass was hitting on from my boater partner who had pre-fished the lake a few times ( East Lake Toho ) But did that stop me from haveing a Senko type bait on ? NOOOOOO. But I only threw it maybe 15 minutes the whole day. Landed 1 on it also. And that came from a different area then we had been fishing . Maybe im not as much of a SENKO - HOLIC as I first thought I was, if im able to put it down. ....... Naaaa, I got to be a SENKO - HOLIC

  11. Hey Flmini, a guy in the club I am in is also a member of the one that meets at Bass pro Shop. We have our meeting this coming Tuesday night, and I will ask him for phone numbers etc.. of the club that meets at BPS. ( Hopefully he will be at the meeting and will have the info )
  12. BPS in Orlando, Florida has JUNEBUG Z-Nails for $ 1.29. So I took 8 more bags ;D ( took about that many 2 weeks ago when I was there also )
  13. You can check out smaller local clubs in your area as well. The club im in is small and we do have a father / son combo. The son is probably 15 and fishes in our monthly tournaments with who ever he gets drawed out with. You just go as the boater and let him go as a non boater with whomever he gets paired with. Or you may be able to find some buddy tournaments and go as a team.
