I have never had one do this, but I have a few with the rattles stuck from when it was made. Perhaps if enough of the rattles are stuck, it could throw of the balance of the bait causing it to run goofy. From the RES thread I have going, somebody said that SK said to wrap them in a towel or something and rap the bait on a hard surface to free them up. Mine I skipped the towel and rapped them on a table. Either way you do run the risk of breaking the bait, but if that was causing it to run funny it was useless anyways.

Ive noticed issues with mine to. Some seem to lay sideways coming through the water its pretty annoying.

I've had very few do this, but recently had 1 that started swimming on its side on faster retrieves. From the other thread about the diff paints & sounds, I started to think I caused some BBs to get stuck. I've been slapping the RES on the surface to get rid of a lotta slime. That's when it started. I'm guessing some BBs got stuck & unbalanced it.

Gonna try the trick of wrapping it in a towel & give it a few good whacks on a table.
