Rod help for Daiwa SV105 Reel

Featured Replies

Looking for some advice. Just got a Daiwa SV 105 Casting Reel. I have a Dobyns Champion 6'8" Med Fast rated 3/16-5/8 that I was going to put it on. I'll be fishing small Jigs, Bitsy Bugs, weightless worms, and 3.5" Keitech Swing Impact on a light jig head. Water will be shallow and clear. Think this will be a good combo or should I put it on one of my MHs?

That should work fine.  I have mine on a Loomis 843C, but it would be just as at home on an 842C.

I love the sv105 and have a second on the way.  One will be paired with a cr721 IMX and the other is on a Majorcraft Go Emotion ml/mf rod.  The first is going to be for soft plastics, the second for jerkbaits and small cranks.

that rod is fine.  I have mine on a 7'3 ML custom point blank rod for small texas rigs and topwater  but honestly i will put it on any but my cranking stick or my heavy rods.
