Steering Cable

Featured Replies

I have a 2003 Tracker Grizzly

There is a black, hard plastic sheath attached to the steering box under the console in which the steering cable slides in and out.  It broke half way down and now the cable hits and ratchets against everything under the console.   It looks as if it is removable and replaceable.  Does this part have a specific name?  I have the BPS Tracker dealer near me checking in the mean time.

There is the "Steering Cable" and the "Helm" ( Steering Box )

The Tracker guy called back.  It is a replaceable sheath that just unscrews from the helm.  A whole $13 to replace.

Never mind .   :-)  Nice that you got out so easily.  I just finished a long reply, glad you don't need it.

Thanks for the effort though.  Kind of surprised myself.
