That's cool ... I have "only" ruined 2.  I have Verizon so next time my plan is up or I have another accident (which ever is first :;)), I'll have to look into that.

Welcome aboard!!!

WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the info.

Welcome, theres been water proof phones out for a couple years now im not the type to have a cell phone though (dont want people contacting me lol) and if I droped it in a 50+ foot dropoff the water can have it. Id go after my LC or MegaBass lures before my cellphone (if I had one.)

This thing is built to military standards for water and shock resistance... Fyi,

First off, WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second of all, bad news, just because they say meet military specs, for water and dust RESISTANCE, dont mean they are waterproof.  I am in the Cellular Business, and the only way to waterproof your cellphone is to put it in a ziplock baggy and keep it in there at all times...

Nextel has the new i580 out, meets military specs for dropping, dust, and water....... the boss dropped his in a wet sink and it no longer works....  ::);) ;D ;D ;D

My god.  Thank you lord!!!  I am now on my 6th phone.  The drink has taken my last 5 phones in a year and a half.  I have a ticked mom and a phone company who doesnt like the fact that I have insurance.  My mom is gonna love this plus its sick that its verizon because that is what I have.  Thanks for the post!

Guys if you drop that phone in the water it will still die.

And if you put your phone in a little zip lock bag, that could work as a life jacket for it, and it would float!
