Im going to be selling my Powell Inferno 7'MH X-Fast to buy a new BPS Carbonlite rod to use primarily for 3/8-1/2 oz jigs. Which would be the better choice for me? 7' Heavy X-Fast or 7'6 Medium Heavy fast. Also do you guys think the carbonlite is the right choice for a $100 rod? They are using $139 for these sizes but are on sale for $95

    I got stuck at the starting gate.

    Blank specs aside, moving from a Powell blank to a CarbonLite blank is trading Down, certainly not Up.

    I am with Roger on this.

    That said, given your parameters, I would look for a 7' MH/F.
