Cost to ship rods? Elite Tech 1 piece

Featured Replies

I have 4 new Elite Tech Bass rods that are all 1 piece, direct from Fenwick that I don't need. How much do you guys generally pay to ship rods? I can get the weight no problem, but not sure how they charge for a 7 ft tube....

Thanks.

If its ridiculous ill either keep them or sell them local only.

It will depend on how far you have to send it and the amount of insurance you get on it. Plan to pay $20-35 to ship one. That's using any of the 3 main companies.

A note for you about insurance. You have to include an invoice. If you send a rod, without invoice, they don't care how much insurance you paid for. They will determine what it's worth, and what they pay.

I live just just south of BFE. FedEx and UPS are better than a two hour round trip, so I uses USPS. Never had problem with them, and I ship quite a few rods. The cheapest was $19, insured, to Kentucky. The highest was $54, insured to Granolaville.

Shipped once from California to Maryland. It cost me like 44 bucks with UPS.

wow sounds terrible, that's a lot for shipping. Looks like some local Michigan guys might find a good deal on these.
