hi all I recently got a job as a detailer at a very busy boat and atv store In trego wisconsin I was given a like new evinrude trolling motor its got a bent shaft and it works like new looks like new too its got 3 speeds a pretty big prop 12 volt its going on my 14 ft deep starcraft with 20 hp merc should work good. Evinrude stopped making trolling motors in 1999 as I recall. You maybe able to find a shaft on EBay or locate someone with spare parts, you will need a model number.

I do not think he means he has a "bent shaft " as in damaged. I think he was using the term "bent shaft" as a description. I did own 2 of those models and they were great trolling motors. If it functions well then enjoy it. I think they were like 30 pound thrust at most. 

I have a 12/24v 55# thrust in my shed that was on my boat. It did it's job.
