Prescription Sunglasses

Featured Replies

I am looking for a good set of prescription sunglasses.  I was going to buy solarbat brand, but my prescription exceeds what they will fill.  I would appreciate any feedback on prescription sunglasses for fishing anyone has experience with.

I have polarized prescription Oakley's and love them.

I actually have Smith as a sponsor but my prescription was beyond their abilities.

I have been wearing Maui Jims for 2 seasons and although expensive they are well worth it. Top quality.

My wife's grandpa has Costas prescription sunglasses and they're cool.

Austin, any chance you're a veteran? Both Oakley and Costa have military discount programs that apply to Prescription glasses.

I personally wear Oakley prescription, but have not been a big fan of them. I only recently became aware of Costa's military pricing program, so those are likely to be next in line to try.

X2 on the MJ's

I can't wear contacts so prescription Maui Jims but they are expensive. Lens are polarized. I wear a strap around my neck so they don't fall into the water.

Ive been using a brown/Amber polarized lens for 5 or 6 years now, my opinion it's far better than any black or prescription mirror type I've had. Not a big fan of fit overs at least Cocoons.

Many thanks to all who have replied.  This gives me great options to explore.

Hey, something I can contribute on.  My wife and I had a bunch of money in our flex spending because of a mixup so I got prescription sunglasses.  I have Nike Vision frames with an awesome mirror coat, and I love them.  Plastics are the way to go these days, so light, no headaches.  I would always get headaches back in the metal frame days, but no more for me.
