Theorically the STX should be better than the SX but in practice is it?

When these first came out there were dozens and dozens of posts on here about both of them.

The SX was the "entry-level" moxel and the STX was supposed to be the more "refined"

I have the 1st gen model and it has been a reliable, serviceable reel for years and has never let me down. 

 

Can't speak about the STX tho.. Just give it a few minutes

Thanks for the answer

There's nothing more refined per say abut the STX. Compare features and decide from there. I'm not a fan of mag only brakes so I'd go S or STX
