More Floor ?s

Featured Replies

I have a 1978 16 ft. sea nymph bass boat. It's a Vee hull with full floor, console, and front/ rear decks. I'm gonna replace the carpet soon, and am wondering if i can eliminate some of the flooring beneath the decks in order to save weight. The existing floor is 1/2" plywood, and the decks are 5/8. i'm mostly worried about the strength and rigidity of the hull, if I start remving flooring. Does anyone have any suggestions?

the flooring is an intragal part of the boats structural strength.  Kinda like wanting to take the some of the rafters from you celliing.
