Which bass boat for $8,500?

Featured Replies

If you had a max budget of $8,500, like I have, which bass boats would you be looking at? I'd like a modern style front deck, and live wells, if possible.

Thanks!

Xpress or Stratos

I'd be looking for a nice used Ranger!

Back in 02 i had a budget of about 8,000 and i found a nice 97 Ranger with a 130hp for 7,000.

For 8,500 you can find Nice BASS Boat.I would Find an individual looking to sale dealers

tend to mark them up.

For $8500 you can find a lot newer aluminum boat than in a fiberglass.  You need to decide all your needs and then begin searching.

$8500 can get you a nice used boat.

have to ask yourself a few question.

What am I towing with? Big truck/SUV, little truck/SUV, car?

How much can I tow?

where am I storeing the boat, how much room do I have?

do I want glass or metal?

how big  do I go?

what brand/ size outboard do i want?

do I want it to have all the extras? Or am i going to add a new TM, GPS, Fishfinders?

What waters do i fish? is it limited HP or unlimited?

Do I want a "BASS BOAT" or a V-hull set up like a bass boat?

How old is to old?

for $8500 you can buy used 20foot bass boats with 200HP + on them or 15footers with 25HP. You need to answere those question before you know what boat.

I am towing with a diesel 4x4.

I have pleanty of room to store the boat.

I'd like fiberglass.

Length 18' to 20'.

I want a reliable outboard.

I would like all the extras but that is not a deal breaker

The limited on outboard size is 250 HP.

I want a "BASS BOAT".

How old is to old? I'd like the structure to be modern-front & rear deck, live wells and rod/storage compartments.
