gripes on boat selling.

Featured Replies

Yea this might sound close to a rant but how many of you are experiencing problems

selling boats on different sites?I have been trying to sell my war eagle 1436fld for some time

and have people call and email but no takes. Is it that they compare mine to the

i hate to say this lesser models like riveted boats in the like size?is it just not the right

time of the year?I would have thought with hunting season winding down attention to

fishing season would be on. I am close to the point of looking for dealers to just trade

it in let them mark it up and sit on it and buy me a larger boat and take the loss

and say OH WELL! :-[ :-X

have you tried ebay?

I really hate to say this but in my opinion..the 36" bottom on your boat is hurting its resale value. I'm sure that if the the bottom was 48", it would of sold easily.

It's on craigslist now but you have to understand i'm in the NC area, you have to

target the surrounding areas to sell items. Not many people will travel far to

look or buy a boat.I tried ebay twice and the reserve was never met so therefore

i had to pay both times close to 50 bucks for nothing, just consider 100.00 loss

on the boat for advertising alone.

Wow.  I had trouble selling my tracker locally.  Put it on ebay and it was gone in 4 days guy called and gave me full asking price without even looking at it.  Sent me the check the next day.  Ebay is the way to go.

I don't know about NC but I noticed very few boats even for sale here in the Midwest. I think I'd wait a month until the spring starts and try whatever again. I use something in my area called trdin post ( that's where I bought my boat from very handy to look through).

Have you tried the flea market here? If you do make sure you put your location. so many people on this site don't put where they are located which seems pretty dumb. A guy from Ca prob not going to NC to buy unless some awesome deal.

Maybe put something in your ads like  " high(est) quality not riveted" maybe?

Maybe make sure yoou put what a brand new one would sell for so they can see the deal instead of guessing and comparing to the wrong style. Use pricing for today's new not what you paid so the price looks sweeter. They can do the math for themselves.

Good luck
