I have this question on swim baits, seen so many fishing people using them. My question is how many segments on a swim bait and what is the best size and color/ style like brim or shad etc. I live in upper end of NC and only fish smaller lakes and ponds!

If I could only have one swim bait it would be a savage gear Shine glide in whatever color beat matches the baitfish in you ponds. It is a glide bait so I has a wide gliding action. 

 

As as far as what is the best swimbait that completely depends on the circumstances you are fishing...

 

do you have the gear to cast lures over 1oz and do you want to put the money into swimbaits?

No simple answer

But

White and Black are the 2 colors you need......

 

 

Are you referring to hard swimbaits, soft swimbaits or both?
