I am looking at buying my first new boat. Fish and ski model skeeter. Does anyone have any recommedations on this boat. Also recommendations on options I should get. Boat has yamaha vmax 150. Thanks

Looking at the website i would say keep it the way it is maybe a bigger fuel tank and thats it. My dad has a 2006 skeeter zx225 but i dont know about their fish and skis because for the ski part at our boat house we have a ski nautique. The only thing i wouldsuggest is to have a yellow paint scheme( i just think it looks sharp).

I looked into the Skeeter fish and ski's when I went to get my boat.  I needed a boat that allowed me to fish in tournaments and also sat more than 2-3 people.  I have a wife and 3 kids, so I had to go with the fish and ski.  I looked at the 210 models due to the length.  I ended up getting a Viper Coral, due to the fact that it was a 20' boat and it also fits my 7'rods in the locker.  Viper no longer is in production, but if you can find one, grab it.  They make an awesome bass boat, and IMO the best fish and ski hands down.  Out of all of the other fish and ski models I went to look at though, I really did like the skeeter the best.  It looks a lot sleeker than the other models that Ranger, Nitro and Triton have.  I think you will be happy with your purchase.  Good luck.

WCCT   you have an awesome boat in your hands. I have fished and wakeboarded from one of these boats i love them.

I wouldn't touch a Fish and Ski unless it was at least 20'.  Anything under that size should be called a Ski n Fish because the fishin side of the equation is seriously compromised as far as rod storage, equipment storage along with front deck space to fish off of.

As far handling, performance, & reliability; Skeeter is one of the best & the Yamaha Vmax is rock solid. Options I would be sure to get the most powerful trolling motor I could afford and depth finders for the bow and console.

I don't think a guy can go wrong with a new Skeeter.

i had an 04 SL190 Skeeter.  Cart hit the nail on the head.  not much room to fish up front or storage.

mine had the HPDI 175 horse and it was a rocket.  at that time going up another 25 HP was another 2 grand.   I had a hard time getting the dealer to fix the leaking speedo.  had to bring it in about 4 times to get it fixed.
