Not sure if this is the right forum or not. Has anyone had issues storing tackle/fishing gear in a shed? Especially due to high heat and humidity or extra cold in the winter compared to a garage? I'm  concerned about the effect it will have on my rods and reels. I know worms might melt. But they are cheap comparatively. Anyone have an opinion/experiences to share?

We have a small closet on the front of our carport, I keep my fishing gear in there and haven't noticed any problems. Not ideal. But it works for me

Thanks. I just got our shed all cleaned out and there is a good amount of space to store everything. Plus if it's out there that will make it easier to add to the collection ?

My fishing gear is in my basement. I would leave not rather chance gear failure on the temperature extremes my garage can reach.

Is heat bad for line or is it more sunlight? 

Living in Illinois, summer highs are often 95, and occasionally hit 100. Lows are often 0, with an occasionl night of -15. I stored all my gear in an unheated garage for decades, with no problems.
