Daiwa reel question

Featured Replies

The one thing I hate about Shimano reels is they stop making parts not long after they discontinue a model. My question is does Daiwa do the same or are parts for discontinued reels still readily available? Thinking about getting a Procyon but dont want parts to be impossible to find like they are for my older Stradics.

Not sure about all their reel but getting parts for a Tdz is no problem. It's pretty darn old.

Is that from Daiwa or retailers?

Daiwa direct

Unless you're speaking of low end models, I've been able to get parts for Shimano reels that were over a decade disco'd.  But, yeah as mentioned, just call Daiwa.  I used to do about an order a month when I ran my reel repair business.  Good people there, that actually answer the phone.  Same goes for Shimano.
