What are the advantages of the dual.braking system? I just purchased two of these reels and have two centrifugal brakes on. The magnetic control seems to do  nothing, whether I turn it all the way up or completely off I notice know difference . The reel casts well and smoothly anyways

    I have a tournament MB lfs and I would say the the magnetic brakes are just for quick fine tune adjustments. I sometimes make brake adjustments when I change line types or when the weight of the lure changes. It's a great casting reel, imo.

    I only use 2 pins on the centrifugal brakes on mine. The mag brake is always at 0.
