Everstart marine Max 29 batteries questions?

Featured Replies

I was debating buying 2 everstart marine maxx 29 batteries for my trolling motor. They have CCA's 845 and a reserve of 205 min. They are yellow. They don't say deep cycle or anything else on them. Anyone know if they are deep cycle like i assumed they are?

Yes they are deep cycle.  I just bought one yesterday.  There was also 3 other guys in there buying the same battery.  One guy had them before and he had nothing but good things to say about it.  Members on here seem to speak highly of them as well.  From what I understand it's the best bang for your buck out there.

Does yours say deep cycle on it? Again, mine says nothing. Not deep cycle or anything else.

Look closer - On the front of the actual battery case on mine (bottom left of the front), in smaller letters it says "Trolling, Starting, Deep Cycle, RV."

Great batteries for the money. I like mine a lot.

Yep, good battery for the price. I was questioning them at first too, but I read a post on a site about them, and if you have problems with them, you can exchange them at any wallyworld, and theres one on every corner now a-days! Going on 3 years for this set and 0 problems. Dang things are HEAVY too!

They are what's considered a Dual Purpose battery.  A portion of the plate area is designed to give the initial high cranking amps for several seconds needed to crank the motor.  The rest of the plate area is designed for the gradual slow discharge and the repeated discharge and recharge needed for a deep cycle application.   It does not make the best cranking battery, nor does it make it the best deep cycle battery, but it does a pretty good job for both.

I've just replaced the last of my original ones.  3 1/2 years on one, 4yrs one month on the other.  Hopefully I'll get similar results with this set.

I know I'm starting to sound like RW, but I cannot plug them enough.  They are quality batteries for a darn good price.
