Hooking a fish in the top of the mouth and out thru the eye

9" compound lineman pliers will cut any hook up to 11/0.

The key is not to hook a bass through the eye, that is very rare event for me. The wide gape 4/0 hook is too big for the vertical lure presentation, a shorter 3/0 hook will resolve the problem.
