2x 400G or 1x 580G

Featured Replies

I have the chance to get a new pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses. Looking at getting one pair of 580G for around 250 $. I could also get two pairs of 400G for 150 $. I have heard that there is a noticeable difference in the 580 vs the 400; however, the 400G is much lighter. I may end up getting the 580G for now, and may consider adding the 400G pair later on. Looking at Blue Mirror first. May get both if I go the 400G route. What do you think?

I think if you fish freshwater lakes and rivers, the green is better.  They have more contrast.

I got a pair of Blokes in 580g green mirror.  Hands down the best fishing glasses I have owned.

I don't own a pair of Costa's yet, but have been doing some research on them. I'm leaning toward's a pair with the green 580g lenses myself, for inshore and freshwater. The blue lenses are nice, but they're more suited for the offshore guy's fishing in deep water.
