Featured Replies

What rod should I buy to flip and pitch I'm trying to keep the price very low near or under 100 dollars.

Irod Fiber 764 Andy's Light Flip/Junk Rod/Heavy

or

Irod Fiber 754 Fred's Magic Stick/ Heavy

or

Irod Fiber 744 Andy's Junk Rod Jr.

All awesome rods, especially for the money. Same blank as the Genesis 2's but with no name components.

Do you have Any of these rods?

I own the 754 in the Fiber and Genesis 2 and 744 in the Fiber and had the 764 in the Genesis 2 until I broke it when I accidentally laid it down and it got caught under a boat cleat and I lifted the rod up and broke it in half :stupid:. I replaced it with the Crusher 764 because I wanted a more traditional flipping stick.

Irod Fiber.

754 too heavy for 1/2 ounce jigs?

I don't think so. I would be too heavy for 1/4oz jig + trailer. 3/8oz jig + trailer is it's lowest limit if you really needed to in a pinch. If you are going to do anything lighter than 1/2oz on a consistent basis, get the 744.

Original Powell max 764 flip/pitch
