Hey all! 

I just got back from dicks sporting goods and needed a affordable baitcaster to use on a georgia family trip coming up. While not doing any research what so ever i found a Abu Garcia UltraMax reel that seemed like it'd get the job done for 79$ so i picked it up. After getting home i took it out to a pond and it seemed decent but when looking for reviews online the reel came up short. I literally cant find any information at all. I even visited the abu garcia website and entered the model number "umax3-l" and nothing came up. I dont know what the deal is but hopefully someone on here might of had previous experience with this? If its no good in the long run does anyone have a decent baitcaster around the 80$ mark?

I bought the Silver Max combo for a "backup" setup. So far, so good. Not as nice as my Curados/Croix, obviously. But it's a fine setup for the price.

 

I'd say it was a good call returning the Ultra for the Pro.
