What rods

Featured Replies

Ok guys what 2 rods in a line up do you want to be the most sensitive.

Bottom contact is about the only thing I worry about sensitivity. Stuff like jigs, t-rigs, carolina, etc. I don't do much finesse fishing, but that'd be the other I'd worry about. Most moving baits, it doesn't matter a whole lot.

So i would want my light jig rod and my spinning set up to be my most sensitive. Makes since.

I would want any bottom contact rod (light or not) to be sensitive...a Carolina Rig comes to mind.

All your bottom contact stuff. Casting or spinning.

If you can only afford 2, then for me it would be my MH jig/t-rig casting rod and my shake head/wacky rig/senko spinning rod.

Another vote for bottom contact. I think most would agree

All of them.

P.S. A lot more to it (sensitivity) than just the rod

one would be my bottom contact rod but my other would be my cranking stick especially my shallow cranking stick. I say that because you can not only feel what your bait is doing and hitting but you can also feel disturbances around your bait. I get more bites setting the hook on disturbances than I do getting thumped or resistance.

Like most everyone else.. my first bottom contact rod and my second bottom contact rod. Jigs and worms.

At this point it goes without  saying......jig/worm, and that is where I would spend the $$$$.  After that, i do like sesativity with suspending jerk baits
