Bottomline 1101 portable fishfinder ?

Featured Replies

Any opinions on this unit ? I like the clamp on clamp off portabilty of the unit for my 10' jon, but the 9* cone concerns me. If i'm in 10'-15' of water I'll only see 2'-2.5' of the bottom. Any comments good or bad ?  :-/

i had one for my small pond boat, it served its purpose.

I used to have one on a small boat.  It was OK.  Showed the bottom and structure pretty well.  I believe it lasted about three years before it died.  I just fished wo a finder from then on since I had learned the lake pretty well.

You can move up to the 4200 it has 18° cone angle.

I had a 1101 used it on my tube, worked good for depth and bottom, then upgraded to a 4200, 4200 is more like a real depthfinder.
