Kwikdrop Seat Pedestals

Featured Replies

In principle this is a great idea. However, I bought one, it was loose, wobbly, and popped the c-clips, and bolts backed out causing a potentially hazardous problem.  Sent it back, discussed probs with the mfg'ers who were more than accomodating, they sent me another and had basically same probs. I even changed out worn pedestal floor mount with no change. I think they now have the screw in model and solved the probs, but I went back to solid screw-in pin pole and put the kwik-drop on the storage shelf.  The mfg'rs are good folks and will do whatever it takes to help you.  I just don' like wobbly seats, for what it's worth.  Swiff

Thanks for the feedback SWIFF.  I have been planning to look deeper into this product on my upcoming trip to BPS.  My ProPole is going to have to go and some changes made.  Can no longer stand up long term because of spinal stenosis recurring. The seat is one of the approaches I had in mine.  However, I did not want to have to move it from the front deck each time I fired up.  I can't see everything with it in the front deck while underway.  Not safe.  Thought the kwikdrop might be a fix.  Perhaps not based on your assessment.  Thanks again.

If you have as I have the Springfield D plug in system you may not be able to use it as the base is not shown on the link you supplied.

Thanks.  You just saved me a hundred.

My brother has one in his boat for 3 years now and it works great.Just had to get used to the trick of putting it up and down. I am going to get one this year.
