Taking Plastics out of package?

Featured Replies

If i stored my plastics in the containers outside of the package would it dry them or hurt them in any way?

Nope.  I think there are a lot of people here who take them out of the plastic bag and put them in plastic boxes.  I used to think the same thing, but I've never had a problem.  I know I've had some in there over a year.  But I mostly use Zoom.  There are some other brands with scent that are slimy and will dry out.

I am careful about leaving them out of the sun.  I left my bag unzipped one time in the summer and the worms that were in the direct sunlight melted together. ;)

i do but its a big mistake because they fade to different colors and it is a big mess if you have lots of baits

The only brand that I know of that will dry out like that is Gulp.

YUM doesnt dry out but seems to loose some of the scent and salt after being out of the package,,,i keep all plastics in the bag,,better safe than sorry

I've started taking mine out, putting them in sandwich baggies, and spraying a shot or two of B.A.N.G. into the bag, and mixing them up. So far so good. Oh, the reason I do is because I store the baits together in larger zip-lock freezer bags and the sandwich baggies fold and roll better than the original packages, giving me more room. So I can buy more. ;D

should be fine as long as you seal whatever they are in up. but dont store different colors w/ each other because the WILL bleed. ive had it happen and it sucks. ruins a whole bunch of plastics.

Keep them in their original package, you don 't wan 't that oil oiling to anything and everything in your t-box, some colors like red shad stain everything it touches ( the oil oozing from that pack of red shad worms is going to do the same thing ).

ive been doing it for years I put them in a tinted storage box and have never had a problem.

I have never had much of a problem storing plastics in my t-box containers up until I used some of the 3x stuff and it got hot man what a mess. I now keep all my plastics in there original package or put them in ziplock sandwich bags then I have them in larger ziplock bags by bait for example all my worms are in one large zip lock in there individual packaging same with sticks, tubes, and so on works for me.
